Using Siri on Your iPad

Siri is your friendly voice assistant that can help you do all sorts of things on your iPad just by asking! No typing needed—just talk to Siri like you'd talk to a friend.

How to Start Siri

1 Say "Hey Siri" when your iPad is nearby and listening. This works even when your iPad is locked!
2 Press and hold the top button (or Home button on older iPads) until Siri appears.
Set Up Tip: If "Hey Siri" isn't working, go to Settings → Siri & Search → and make sure "Listen for 'Hey Siri'" is turned on.
